The Arc of Rock Island County

The Arc of Rock Island County has served individuals with developmental disabilities and their families for more than 50 years. The Arc provides a comprehensive array of vocational and residential services to approximately 350 individuals each year. The organization demonstrates a strong commitment to the principles of inclusion and empowerment of individuals with disabilities. Persons served are direct participants in all aspects of service planning including representation on the governing board of directors.

The Arc provides community-based services in more than a dozen locations in Rock Island County. Service programs include Developmental Training, Community Employment, Work Services, Residential, and Respite. The organization is CARF-accredited. The organization employs nearly 300 staff members. The Arc sponsors a formal training program for Direct Support Personnel, which culminates in DSP certification from the State of Illinois.
